Carefully enlarge the pip hole as if you were zipping. Watch closely for any blood vessels. If you aren't finding blood vessels, continue zipping until you can remove the top of the egg shell. Check for shrink wrapping and moisten as necessary but let the poults kick themselves out of the rest of the egg on their own.Ok turkey people.
I have turkey eggs hatching today. . one out two to go.

Problem is the other two eggs pipped at the wrong end.
They have been externally pipped since at least midnight last night when I noticed. It's almost 1 in the afternoon now. .
How much longer should I wait before starting an assist?
I got worried about an hour ago if they were breathing and I peeled the membrane away from their pip holes.
Might have been a mistake I don't know. But they are still alive so far.

I find that using my hatcher, poults that have been pipped for 24 hours or more are usually shrink wrapped and need some assistance. I also find that not allowing the poult to kick its way out of the shell can cause foot or leg problems.
