Blossom, the Auburn, is taking treats from my hand now! And let's me pat her head. Marigold is still untying my shoes. She'll hang out but no pets yet.

I would like to know when those orange saddles would be available, I have to deal with turkey hunters, and poachers in the forest I live in, but currently my turkeys are too young for saddles, but having some when turkey hunting season is around helps a lot...
I had this issue back before I had my Golden Narragansett Tom, my first turkey was a BBB hen the first hunting season that came through she wandered right up to a hunter that was hunting for wild Toms (thankfully he was not hunting hens), he thought she was a tame wild turkey until I walked out into the field looking for her.
But now I have a large group of poults of various colors, and 2 yearling Narragansett hens (i'm trying to rehome the yearlings since they like to wander farther from home than I feel is safe for them), they are very friendly but are on the skittish side, but as for my poults they are pure lappers, as soon as i sit down i end up with roughly 4 - 8 poults jumping up and snuggling their way into the best spots on my lap, or my shoulder (sometimes on my head)

They can be done as soon as you need them, just let me know. I just have to test and see if the broad breasted hen saddles would be the right size for a heritage Tom. I have no idea how big one would need to be for a broad breasted Tom though. I would need measurements to make one.... Has anyone had a broad breasted Tom around long enough to need one?

Unreliable silkie incubator has been fired. 2 nights in a row, she went to the wrong nest. Eggs are now in the incubator.....

Eric....an orange "Safety Saddle" is the perfect solution! And I would LOVE to see the look on a hunters face when a turkey wanders up wearing one!! You need to post some pics of your lappers!!

I think there's 6 in there and no, i haven't figured out who's they are yet. They're still laying them all over the place though lol

Unfortunately, a perfectly fitted turkey saddle will have very little showing and may not be noticeable from a side view when sitting on the ground. Something that sits on top of the wing would have more value but would also interfere with wing action and may not be tolerated by a turkey, especially a tom turkey that would be vulnerable during a spring turkey season.
