~A Wisp of Sand~ a a desert cat tribe rp

"My name is dart!" he blinked pausing. "are you here to join us?" he asked, glancing from pebble to chipmunk. is that why pebble is upset?
"Well.... maybe..." Chipmunk mewed quietly, shuffling his paws on the sandy ground. His tail tip twitched to and fro as he felt Pebble's gaze burn into him.

Stickybeak arched her back, and yet out a yawn. She had been napping amongst the straw-like grass, while the sun warmed her fur. Her ears twitched. She could hear a faint noise in the distance. Stickybeak ambled over to a large acacia tree, and swiftly clawed her way to the topmost branch. She could see several other cats in the distance, gathered together under another acacia. "What a pain. I'll have to circle off to the west to avoid them now."
Making her way down the tree, Stickybeak trotted off to the right, down a low slope of yellow grass. She couldn't risk meeting up with any another felines.

Sun blinked. "Well... I may have crossed paths with them once," she thought aloud. "How do you know of them?"

As she heard the other cat's words, Sun longed to feel the wind on her back and soft mud on her paw-pads.
Mongoose looked away. "Cobra, and his band of filthy dung eaters took over, they forced us to hunt for them, feigning there promise of protectction from the crocodiles." She spat. her blood boiled as cobras face flashed in her head, along with the countless cats that had been torn away from her, their lives lost to feed his filthy stomach. They're dead. Let them go. But she wouldn't. She had vowed to bring them justice, dead or alive. She turned back to the startled sun. "Of course, they left us to rot and starve, while our young disappeared at every dawn, and our old ones collapsed dead from the strain of the rouges claws...but we followed them none the less.." she let the air out of her lungs, fighting her anger. "Please.. have you heard anything? Are they still alive?"

"Well.... maybe..." Chipmunk mewed quietly, shuffling his paws on the sandy ground. His tail tip twitched to and fro as he felt Pebble's gaze burn into him.
"That's great! Let us show you where we're staying!" He said purring. "I didn't know you had a brother pebble! It must be great to have a litter mate!" He said, chuckling nervously.

Thorn sniffed the air. Even though Stickybeak didn't want to be noticed, Thorn smelled her right away. "Another cat!" She cried out loud. Our numbers are increasing daily! She briskly and silently brushed through the grass, it's waving silenced her footsteps. Her yellow pelt blended in. Tiny pawsteps. She peered through the grasses. Was the new cat hostile? She wasn't sure she wanted to find out, but if it wanted to go on a killing spree it would have caught her by now, and if it didn't want trouble, and would fight to be alone she would just let it be. It was a light brown tabby female cat with longish hair. Thorn stepped into where the she-cat could see her clearly, and walked sideways to show no aggression. "What brings a loner here?" She asked. She honestly didn't mind if she never saw the cat again, but she wanted to be hospitable and save lives like her own was saved yesterday.

"I didn't know I had one either," Pebble said, flicking her tail at Chipmunk.

Chipmunk nervously followed Dart. Do I really want to leave my tribe for a sister I barely know?

Sun stared at Mongoose for a long while. She stared at her paws. "I am so sorry," she whispered. "There was a pair of kits we took in after we found them abandoned by a stream, but that's all I know. I don't know if they were from your tribe."

Mongoose nodded, suddenly feeling very tired. "There's good hunting down in the burrows." She grunted, flicking her tail toward the rodent holes hidden in the dry grass. "Welcome to the thunderer Tribe." She settling down in the shade. She closed her eyes, her heart acheing. The swish of the grass turned to the roar of water. She could feel the spay on her face and see the green light above. I have not abandoned you, I'll come back.. I promise!

"your going to love it here with us!" Dart said, coming out into the clearing. "There are all sorts of cats here, from every corner from the desert! Do you like lizard? I find it rather chewy myself, but they're everywhere! Along with these pokey thorns, which you should NOT step in, I learned that the hard way!" He laughed, barely pausing before launching into another racket. "So where are you from? How- oh! Sorry! Another new cat!" He exclaimed, reeling back from barreling into sun. "Sorry about that! My name is dart, nice to make your acquaintance!" He puffed, out of breath.
