A word of advice: Don't do anyone a favor if you expect one in return

In my case that would not be a lie.

Seriously though, any favor I do for someone, it is never done with the thought that I will paid back. If someone asks me to buy something for them, the answer is always no unless I know for a fact they are down on their luck. Sounds like this gal hosed you, though a good blatant reminder sounds in order.

Though some people think I am irresponsible, absent mindedness is not something that can be cured.

Who would think that absentmindedness makes you irresponsible? That would be a pretty ridiculous presumption! I get absent minded too and forget things. It happens. Doesn't mean you're irresponsible! And you're right, can't be cured that I'm aware of. I try very hard to remember things, I even write things down and make lists. But then I forget where I put the list!

I've had a foggy memory since I became ill about 11 years ago. I still think I'm very responsible however! I do the best I can, and I'm sure you do too.

I gave up on lists years ago. I usually find them a year later when I clean out my purse "Oh THERE it is".

I try to take my ginkobilboa everyday - IF I remember to take it (it helps with memory)

It is supposed to help with memory but there are ALOT of prescription drugs that interact badly with it and my water pill is one of them. Because of the sulphur.

Also, with my son's neurological conditions affect his short term memory, especially if he has to recall verbal information. (Can you imagine daily life around here? I am a broken record Lol)

It's suppose to be funny but it is true! Lol
I had no idea about the interactions. Wow!

Yes if you take prescription drugs at all, natural supplements need to be researched. Alot of them have drug interactions that are not good news.

Yep. St. John's Wort for example, helps some people with Depression but can be very dangerous if mixed with prescription anti-depressants. I can't take Ginko either by the way, because of my meds.

Not that I would remember. I have my prescriptions right smack in front of the coffee maker.

I took Gotu Kola and B vitamins for my moods... I have to say they really work if taken regularly and you don't get the withdrawls if you skip a dose like you do with Rx... I've had horrible experiences being on prescription drugs, like weight gain for one... I'm going to the chiropractor then going back to the gym, if I still feel like crap mood wise then I will go back on a Rx but I have to get my weight under control first.
