both are clean legged breeds. this rooster has heavy leg feathering. leg feathering like this requires dominant genes.

all production sex links are clean legged. the major genes for leg feathering are dominant so it is impossible, mix or no mix if none of the parents have any leg feathering.

He looks almost EXACTLY like a Cuckoo Marans Rooster I had. Mine even had the same random green feathers and feathered shanks. Same comb, too. The only difference is mine had white legs with black overlay and yours has yellow with a black overlay.
