about to preform bumblefoot surgery---any tips befor doing so?

turns out, before i desided to do this alone. i had my mom feel and examine the 'bumblefoot' and she had to look into it more so she did cut into it but turns out that it was i normal scar and no puss or anything in it but it was infected. it started to bleed so we put it in the vetwrap, now i need to know how to cure a infected scar?
Morning from sunny England!

Did this happen just now as you were posting or at some time before?

Chicken pus isn't yellow and oozy like human pus. It sets hard. Sometimes it is difficult to find inside the bumblefoot because it sticks to the tissues around it. Hence needing to dig around sometimes.

You really need to post some pics as we've asked. Or we are advising blind to some extent. Do it when you change the dressings.
