I went to my appointment this morning with the oral surgeon, they had me lay down and there was a nice young lady on either side of me. They looked so nice and innocent... there must have been some signal that I missed because they suddenly decended on me like a pack of jackals!
One grabbing each arm, hook up the blood pressure cuff, insert IV, monitors everywhere! It was actually a little daunting! Then the surgeon put cuffs so I couldn't move my arms and my head started itching and I couldn't scratch it. He said something about the cuffs being so I couldn't get up and wander off, I told him more like so if I felt it I couldn't swing and punch him. He laughed and said 'that too'... Then he went to the IV bag and told me I would start getting drowsy... I was watching the monitor at the time, heart rate 69 and BP 129/80. That's all I remember until they woke me up to get dressed to leave.
Tooth is gone, came home and took a 5 hour nap. Discharge instructions said to keep relatively quite today, so when I went out into the -10F weather to toss hay to the horses and feed the birds and the cats, I didn't sing as I went around. They did say something about putting an ice pack on it, that probably counted.
Thank you for all of the support and well wishes, I love and appreciate you guys!
