Jay, thank you for posting this. First of all, it was quite an accident, so please don't beat yourself up for it. Second, the very fact that you feel bad about it tells me you're a pretty good person!

And third, by posting this warning you have helped lots of other people prevent the same mistake. In fact, I just turned off the bator for four eggs that did not hatch, and because of your message I am going to not only candle them again before I crack, but I will probably leave the bator on another day or two just to be safe.

Not from that batch. They were either infertile or died. But my others are growing far past those and doing great. YAY!!!! tHANKS, -Jay
