Electric fencing works very well for ground predators; if you can get electrified poultry netting (available here through Premier1supplies.com) that's a wonderful product. Silkies are fragile little non-flying birds, who have no chance with any predator. Here in the USA, most prefab coop are vastly underbuilt; again, a big stray dog is a risk too. Mary
