After nearly three years I find out my rooster is a hen! (Questions and concerns!)

Wonder if she's half candy corn and half dominant white. @nicalandia , does that sound right?
I’m not sure if it would help you identify her any better, but I have some pictures of her when she was a young chick. Sorry some of the photos are kinda blurry :/

If it helps any, none of my 6 Polish hens has ever hatched one single chick. From what I have read, Polish hens are not "mommas" and also none of mine as of now, have even laid an egg in 2 months...
They are very pretty but freeloaders.. LoL...
Full of personality and goofiness..
My roo is crazy too...
We love them anyway.

I thought her saddle feathers looked more masculine too!
She really got me tricked lol she’s also the loudest of the girls, almost making a crowing sound but not quite a crow. At certain time her feather crown would look more pointed instead of rounded, giving her a rocker hairstyle that the polish roosters are know for.
And she is the top of the pecking order, she the first to the treats, and gets her treats first. She’s also the boss of the roosting bar, making sure everyone scoots over for her. 😂

And I never saw her go broody like the other two hens, (a Cochin, and a silkie), I would occasionally catch her in the nesting box but never sitting, just standing looking like she was investigating the box, then laying eggs lol
Even the part about sitting in the nesting box wouldn’t have clued me in as at least two of my roosters will occasionally take a notion to go sit in the nesting boxes. One will even to choose the box with the most eggs to sleep in for the night if he can’t get to the roost.

I have a few roosters that do this as well...

The funny thing is, when we got her as a chick, we were hoping for a girl, because we just wanted eggs originally.

Having a rooster and hatching chicks was never part of the original plan, but still, I have to admit, I’m kinda sad thinking about all the past eggs I had candled, kinda hoping to see a baby chick inside!

I’m glad I wasn’t being silly to think that my “rooster” was being a good daddy, and just staying with the eggs lol
it’s good to know that actual roosters will get in the nesting box too
