All of your poultry?! And if they are chasing the horses KILL THEM.
x2 on everything said here your animals are being torn up by lots of domestic (or meant to be) animals. Get it on video and threaten them that you might kill their dogs. Now if they are like “ehh blah blah blah I’ll get my lawyer” you show em those papers and say you are eligible to shoot them if your poultry is being eaten alive by their dogs and they are doing nothing bout it. Of course I’m only in my 20s as well so just... anyway I agree with everything said here.

Sorry that happened to you! Being as the boy's who owned them were only in their 20's, is there a chance that they let their pack of dog's roam your neighborhood because that is the way that they can get fed?

Yeah it was all of them. I just started out less than a year ago.

I’m so sorry. I cannot imagine. I just can’t imagine it’s hard to wrap your head around.
Where I live they would of been shot. Next time they come back ... and they will ...have the owners come pick them up

There were a few eggs in the coop when it happened and I'm going to try my hand at incubating while we rebuild everything. I had some in the fridge too which I read is not ideal but I'm throwing them all in an incubator tomorrow after they're room temperature. Maybe I'll get a little surprise. They'd be Cochin x leghorn crosses and Cochin x Wyandotte but I don't care. Even one is worth it.

Not sure where you live. Where I am I'd just shoot the dogs. I know it sound cruel however I'd do the same thing with Foxes, Coyotes and any other treat to my livestock.

Do not have any more personal contacts with these people in any form. They have been put on notice simply by you and police and ac showing up. They should have been told the consequences of animals at large whether or not ac or cops did anythong about todays incident.

Any further contact by you may be seen as harassment or provocation. A good county agent will send them the articles of compliance/ state laws regarding dogs and livestock, their responsibility as owners and your ability and responsibility to act to protect your livestock on your property.

I am not a legal council, but I did stay at a holiday inn once.

You could go up to them and pay them a visit with a gun in hand. I wouldn’t use the gun for any reason other than intimidation.
