I'm not in OH, but very close. I'm in the SW corner of NY. You can look at my stock on my website. I sell hatching eggs and day-old chicks.

Steve, thanks for the info, I Pm'd you!

Just wanted to post some pics of our newest addition Becky. A Blue Wheaten Ameraucana chick that we brought back from Lucasville last weekend. She became quite attached to my son who had to have her with him for the entire 8 hour drive. If he put her down she would scream bloody murder so she road the entire way home like this

He was teaching her how to read the exhibitors list

they both were very tired and napped a while

It appears to be lavender; it's the same bird in both pictures. I think it is a cockerel with some red leakage. Usually the red turns to gold in the lavender variety.

Do you have any close up pictures of these "spots"? Are you sure it is not something he got into?

Levi is 16 weeks old now and still no crowing. In the last picture, you can see Tiny, my black beardless Ameraucana, in the middle. She is so svelte, that one. Her body type seems not quite Ameraucana--do you see what I mean? She was so small and is a bit sight-impaired, but she is surviving okay so far. She thinks DH and I are her flock and she is just visiting the chickens in the coop.

Thank you Jean, your right the pictures were of the same bird. I guess I hadn't had enough coffee yet.

Here are a couple more pictures.

This is the same chicken in the first pictures I've been calling Blue. I'm sure the coloring is in the feathers

This is the other one. I think it might be hard to get eggs out of these.

Here they are together.
