Then they are most likely Easter egger x Easter egger crosses. Hatcheries usually don’t use ameraucanas to breed their EEs.

I figured, the wife just came home one day with 6 chicks from tsc and then she got chicken math.... I’m just the glorified chicken tender.

I believe a lot of the time Splash is lighter.

It can be pretty hard to tell apart lighter blue laced reds from splash laced reds.

Cookie lays a very light greenish blue egg, and brownie lays a few shades darker greenish egg color. I simply love the look of the Easter eggers. Their tuffs are just plain awesome. Yes all 3 of my daughters love the chickens but the EEs have special places in our hearts here at our property.

Long live Ameraucana tuffs! My mom too favors Ameraucanas & EEs immensely, she took one look at them and wanted no other chickens than them in our backyard the first time around xD

Ameraucanas don’t actually have tufts, it’s the Araucanas that do. Ameraucanas have muffs and a beard.

But I too, have an obsession with Boofs.

You just can’t turn it down.

agreed, i had read that the color splash is the lightest of blues, not blue but not completely white either
