American serama thread!

I've gotten a lot of Serama eggs that had thick shells, and I couldn't see through them very well. Yes, the veining starts on one side and generally, until they get so big, the development will be on one side. You will see, hopefully, a dark spot soon, that's the head and eye close to the shell :) I hope what you have left will develop!!!

I just checked again this morning and tossed the totally clear ones. I have one that is almost totally dark and I just cant see anything, and the other that has veining and the black eye dot you were talking about! Oh I hope he makes it!

I have 3 still going, they're pretty much filling up all the space in the egg except for a tiny bit on one side. I can't see much anymore, but yesterday I did see the beak of one, LOL. It was so cute, he/she better make it or I'll be mourning :( Wow, only 6 more days until hatching! I'm so excited. I've kept my temp and humidity pretty stable so ...

for my 3 eggs to make it!

I have 4 all together. Harriet is a little older than the other 3. Luna (that I posted) is just so darn sweet, she gets spoiled by me, I love her so much! Sirius is my little cockerel and Hermione is my wheaten. She's actually the smartest, but not the friendliest (though she is plenty friendly, she just is more en garde) I think I named them perfectly to their personalities, LOL.

None of the chicks should be booted if they are serama. No breeder should have booted. They are not recognized and not showable. On rare, very rare, occasion I have heard that one can pop up. I have never had a booted chick and have hatched in excess of 1000 serama.
