Do you suppose just maybe the person is new to this and didn't realize the costs and reasons for? The only way to educate with any meaning that will sink in AND not drive a person away is with kindness. Thanks, Ruth. You provided a great answer and delivered it with kindness. Since I am new to Seramas as well I appreciate it.

Since we are introducing - my name is Morgan and I have 4 silkies, 6 bantam Cochin, 1 Plymouth and 1 Serama with hopes of a couple more to come!

Thank you for being nice about it seems people get all wound up easy these days. I am not new to Seramas I have a large Beautiful flock of smooth and silkie birds and I too have bought and sold seramas on here I just honestly think 100. plus shipping is a lot to ask for a two year old bird that rarley lays.
Morgan if you would like to buy some real pretty birds with nice type in smooth or silkied send me a pm and I'll send you some pics

i dont know whom you are mr chicken guy but given the hens lineage and the person she was originally bred from she is definetly worth the 100 dollar even if her production is down she would help anyones flock....your birds your dime and do ans ask what you will for them.

i paid more for her than that not 4 months ago and she was worth it.... id ask that next time you want to critique anyone on here you do it pvtly or inquire ...thanks and have a nice day.

ps my brood stock comes from great well known lines as do many others on here all of which are happy to help any of the new comers.... enjoy your birds

Can I join in on the bazillion dollar dream??? I'd buy the neighborhood, build a modest house, a granny flat for the old parents, and a GIANT barn!!! I'd move my Serama friends in next door, build them GIANT barns too, we'd have a community orchard and garden, and all enjoy the lovely wake up crows every morning.

Edit:

Wait, I forgot the part where we'd all quit our jobs and talk chicken all day....

LOL....come on Morgan, you can do better then that when you have bazillions!!!! I would of get me a few acers of land to built me a mansion and my seramas a mansion in the back where I can house 2500 varieties of seramas for my personal enjoyment.

Unlike what I have right now is a 6500 sqft lot with half a covered patio full of serama cages.

Ok-- I wanna play too! These cages are awesome!

I just bought my farm and my 150 year old house with 7 bedrooms. At the moment, at least 4 1/2 of the bedrooms are full of family storage..antique furniture, junk, old clothes, records, mannequins, drum sets etc... My first debt ever, but now I'm a land baroness, hee hee!

With a bazillion dollars, I would remodel all the rooms, Build a huge serama barn and host Bed and Breakfast chicken parties and shows! Plus I have horses and we can do trail rides around the farm! lol I have a mini petting zoo for the kids. I would also raise wallabys...and something else exotic.....And then buy the farm between me and my Mom's farm too, just so I can start a horse training facility and ride between all three lands.
I've got all this in my 10 year plan (or 15 since its going to take me 10 to pay off the farm) but MAN--a bazillion would be awesome right now! I should probably go buy a lottery ticket, lol

OK, one more pic since we are sharing.. I have red duns and grulla horses, which are black duns..and Im going to name my farm "Duns 'N' Roses" LMAO
Im gonna need rose bushes too!

Your birds are beautiful and pens are so unique... really cool. That last little black and white rooster is a handsome dude, but I have a question about him (please don't be offended, just remember I am new to seramas) In the picture it looks like his comb has been dubbed. Is that correct? Is this a common thing for seramas. I know they do the OEGB's that way, but I wasn't aware they dubbed seramas. Also, he appears "rounder" in shape than some of the seramas I have seen. Is this a different type of serama?
