Well, tonight my serama eggs will have been in the incubator for 76 hours, I guess I'll be trying to candle them n see if I can see anything! I'm so excited!

We know how bad curiosity is though... and how bad it is for cats.

Now I've moved those air sacks at day 3, and I only saw veining in one without a detached air sack. Anyway, what I'm getting at is I shouldn't have been turning them for 3 days, On the one good egg, I did see veining in one spot, but it was rather clear, the lack of veins on the others concerns me. But I'll keep my hopes up, and see what happens

Oh, I'm bummed. This is my first time candling and all but one has a detached air sack. My husband won't admit he needs reading glasses, as it was very easy to see. The one that doesn't have a detached air sack is actually developing, but none of the others are. I won't give up on them, but with completely detached air sacks, I don't have much hope![]()
I have the same problem. Only 1 from my batch too, and we got our eggs from the same person. The rest either had detached air sacs, or never started to develop. I am on day 9, and removed all the bad eggs yesterday. I am happy to say that 10 of 17 that I got from another breeder on ebay are doing well. If you lived closer I would share! Good luck! Now I'm hand turning the one, and leaving the rest sitting upright in the carton. Wish I had checked them out myself when I got home, but oh well. I do have another set of eggs coming in mid October, so I'm not giving up ;P LOL. I knew what I was getting into when I bought them. I do enjoy going to Vegas I'm afraid.....Only concern I have now is that the chick, if it makes it, will be all alone. But if I get so far, I'll just get a sex linked chick at the feed store to keep it company![]()
