Hey Barbara,

guess what....I finally( atlast!) had that meeting with the Florida School of Hollistic Living. We were able to speak together and thinking out a plan to change these laws in Orlando. They think its also a great thing if you do call your local newspaper and bring up the story as that will help people in your area know of how other people in other states are having poultry in their own backyards like Mass, NYC, etc. The thing is that we are going to start collecting all the data needed, like ordinance date from other states and counties that can have poultry and try to come up with a plan to talk to the board of commisioners together as a group. We should be able to do something like that very very soon. The newspaper editor never got back to me with the information on Pompanos newspaper...hes always soo busy but I honestly think you dont need his help at all.

Anyway let me know if you ever need some help with the law changing, hopefully once we have the laws changed up here we can help you out down there and other counties as well.

Sock Puppet, thats about what I'm doing right now. I keep them in a safe area in my bathroom and part of the hallway. Around 4:00 we let them go outside until dark, on the other side of the yard, that is, after all the egg laying in done.

I have quite a clean up after though, but in the long run, I think all this will be worth it!

Chicken7777, thanks for all the help. I have another Commissioners meeting this coming Tuesday. I am not giving up, I mean, after all I'm putting up with right now, why in the world should I.
