animal control came and said to get rid of my chickens!

If you don't write a letter explaining them about your flock of chickens then I'm afraid that you will lose them since they'll probably make you to get rid of them

When I was about 10 I had a *friend* that I would hang out with on the public dock. He would let me reel in the fish he caught, let me play with his big dip net and sometimes even let me have some of the fish we caught together. My mum didnt mind as it was such a public place and he seemed so nice. It was only after I asked my big brother why he let his pee pee stick out the bottom of his shorts and pointed at it and smiled at me and he told her did she realize what he was.

Funnily enough, I never saw him again!

You do have a right to know your accuser so kick up a fuss till you find out. Then you can make a stab at sorting the problem - which isnt your chickens

Hummm...

That is very creepy indeed. I would keep a careful watch over the kids. I think the safe way to go on about who would go 5 houses left, 5 houses right, front, back, etc. Give it like a 5 house radius from your house...90% of those homes would be it. Could be one, could be more. Anyhow, if you pay attention to who stays the home the most and not working, they could be the likely ones too. Anyhow...best of luck!

Tommy, we've done that with this neighbor, if in fact if it is him. He loves my 10 y/o daughter. He gave her a really cute music box for Christmas. My 14 y/o daughter's friend's mom used to live down the street when she was growing up, her mother still lives there. She told me that the man is just hateful, and likes to make trouble for everyone. I asked her if she was sure, and she said, Oh yeah, its him. She said to go and talk with her mom, she'd tell me all about it. I was even wondering if it was the guy across from him? You know, sometimes, you just aren't sure WHO has called on you, you know?

And the ACO isn't gonna tell you. He claims that the man won't say who he is because he doesn't "want any trouble with his neighbors".

TommyVT, thanks for the advice. I know at least a couple people right near me, signed a petition about keeping backyard chickens, so I'm certain those two houses were not the culprits. I just got to keep an eye out for who ever it is. Now my letter carrier says, the old gentleman next door wouldn't do that. She seems to think that he is really nice. You've got to remember, our letter carrier is really sweet, I think she likes everyone.

Start your own petition and first ask all adjoining neighbors, then the homes next to them, and so on until you have covered several blocks.

There may well be more than one who won;t sign, but at least it will narrow the possible complainers down for you, and also give your efforts to legally keep your chickens extra weight.
