I had an out of town wedding and gone less than 24 hours. I’ve been waiting for that precious first egg. I have 3 pullets with bright red combs, all acting moody and growly for a week. Yesterday before leaving for the wedding I told the grumpiest (BM, Big momma is her name) to ‘go lay an egg and cool your jets’. Came home this afternoon and found the cutest pink/brown egg on the run floor. I think it was BM but could be Hedwig, a lt brahma or a bielefelder.
Is there anything I can look for in vent change to see who laid the egg?
