Any fellow Geocachers?

I've been Geocaching for almost 3 years now, it can be a blast. I have about 12 Travel Bugs out there and 3 of them are lost somewhere

I have seen some Kewl ones and someday I am going to get around to putting out some new ones since I have moved down here to Alabama. I have found at least 1 Geocache in every state I've been to since joining.

My geocaching name is WriterofWords,, lol go figure! But we sign everything Team WoW. We've done caches in TX, NM, AZ, NV, CA, and UT. Working on getting a few more states under our belts.

We got introduced to Geo caching up in N CA, while we were up there doing archeology work with the NFS. One of our team was a cacher and we went out with her, me, my son and neice, and we were addicted at that moment.

We were in Reno for our anniversary and did the Flashmob event - Just this past weekend we were over in Humboldt County with my sister who geocaches also - she's Pallecat - we took in an auto show and some geocaching together. We plan trips around caching, but not all the time. What fun!
Where in N Cal were you? We like finding benchmarks sometimes too. Right now we have several GPS's, including a car model Garmin, a Magellan 200, Magellan Explorist 210, and a Magellan Triton 500. Kinda silly, cause the kids dont need them. We can just pull up close to a cache and they find it!
Oh, I wanted to add - I have personalized plates on my car - tfpets - and on my 4x4 Blazer - geocshn - and my dh's truck is an actual travel bug - it's not activated yet, but it has a huge tag! I guess we're enthusiasts!

We were staying at Hat Creek while working on Lassen. I'll have to go back to my account and find the name of the caches we did there.
I love my Sportrac Pro, and bought an extra off Ebay when I saw it. My son has a nose for traditional caches but my neice can find a micro anywhere!

We've done some up there. We'll be at Manzanita Lake from 8/15 to 8/18 - And take the drive through and hike some around Lassen. We love it up there, and I love the Subway cave - I want to live in it! Kids are natural cachers, and when I take all 3 of mine, I only get to watch!

I don't have the name of the one that got us started, we were still "muggles" and just doing them with our team member. But the next year we did Plowed Under, Tunnel Vision, Pusher, New Kids on the Block, Stumped at the Falls, The Spirit that Won the West, Blue Brush Bug Rest, Historical Yreka, Famous Yreka, Whistle Stop, The Kid's Idea, and Olympic Dreams. A lot of them are around Yreka and McCloud because we work out of there and have friends we stay with in Yreka.
