I made another carrot cake... had to try both recipes, right? This time I made jnox's recipe. It was good too, super moist as promised! It was definitely a lot denser than the Wyodreamer's cake, it had a lot less leavening. I made it as a Bundt cake, so it had to bake for about 50 minutes. It was also a bit less sweet than the other.

This is the cake after I frosted it with the leftover cream cheese frosting.

great icing job…looks delicious.

Oh noooooo, that's so wrong! Funny, but wrong, lol.

But the recipe does sound delicious….think I'll bake some to take to work for Halloween…office staff know I have chickens….wonder if they will wonder?

:shock Why oh why haven't I seen this thread before? Lol. As I was reading page after page I'm become more and more hungry with an itch to get into the kitchen Lol. I'll definitely be trying a few if not all these recipes Lol.
I was wondering though, does anyone have any fun Halloween (leaning more on the healthier side) ideas for snacks for kids? My daughter is in pre k and her snack day is this Friday and I wanted to do something fun for them instead of the usual snacks they get everyday.

Hi Quackers Mama, glad to have you join us!

Just for fun, I looked up some healthy Halloween treats, a lot of the ones were pretty ordinary (roasted pumpkin seed-type things), but iVillage has some clever ideas. If I still worked in an office, I'd be trying a couple of these (loved the spider deviled eggs lol). See what you think of the link:
