Any Home Bakers Here?

GFS = Gordon Food Service... Restaurant supply store open to the public. Flour @ $0.35/pound and sugar and other items same price. Spices sold by the pound.
Here we have a store called Smart and Final. I used to go there a lot before Costco opened up near Me. It is a great Place for meats and kitchen Goodies

I've known several people like your friend Connie...people that could cook if they wanted to (or wanted to learn). I think their kids miss out on the family dinner table and learning how to do for themselves.

When I was growing up, Mom & Dad took us out to eat for special occasions. It seems strange to me now to see kid and babies trundled off to restaurants or fast food places for every meal.
I was 16 the first time I got to go to a resteraunt.
The food tastes better at home too! I am constantly disappointed in the quality out there!
Me too!
Cake was just so-so....but I made cream cheese icing and ate too much of it :D ... the cake would have been better with less cocoa, a dash of vinegars....so likely will try it once more?

We had very few restaurants with power during Irma, and at least 2 groceries without power for a week - many folks got sick eating out and on some frozen dinners after the power was back on :sick..

I really don't like to eat out, and take my own food to work - almost everyone gets take out daily, one of our office managers found a glove in a $9 take out salad, he talked with the Zaxby's manager and all they would do was give him a $5 gift certificate :lau - now why in the world would anyone use that coupon?

X2
So he could have a pair of gloves?
You put vinegar in your cake? What does that do?

Yum!!
Your pizza looks delicious, Penny! Here's what I made for dinner last night - two chicken pot pies (saving one for another day). Frankly, your pizza looks much better.

Beautiful!

As far as regular grocery stores, I've never seen any that could beat Publix. Loved them (unfortunately not around here).
PUBLIX where shopping (really) is a pleasure..
