    1. I've baked the beer bread in lf pans at home, and in cast iron dutch oven camping---we always had beer when camping. It does resemble sourdough
    2. I like the blueberry ideas--thanks!

    Blueberry truffles are something else too, but making them often falls into the too hard category for most people.
    My wife usually pokes me into making truffles, she's a foodie like me but can't cook, genuinely, she only starts fires.

    On an unrelated note...

    Creamless soups are the most wonderful of winter foods.

    The blueberry truffles sound interesting, care to share the recipe? I love chocolate ones but haven't ever had a blueberry truffle.

    It's a running joke around here that I'll truffle anything. Truffle Though in the sense of cold creamy filling wrapped in chocolate, not those boring French things.

    My partner prefers these... Although still dipped in melted chocolate.

    I find this much tastier...

    And if you must go the somewhat healthy route... These are actually quite good too...

    Aside from blueberry pie, I also add blueberries to my coffee cake - mix into the crumb mixture.
    I also add blueberries to German Apple Pancakes, yum!

    @NorthFLChick , Ga peaches have been coming in since May, there are so many newer varieties, but IMO the Elberta are the best - they are the original really sweet ones and hard to find. The E's are late - usually late July.

    @Zeil , thanks for the recipes -

    @wyoDreamer , blueberries in coffee cake sounds wonderful. Do you use a traditional cinnamon coffee cake recipe or change the spices?
