Any Home Bakers Here?

My baking today was some sweet potatoes! I am cautiously optomistic; the small one I had was pretty tasty, though not as sweet as I was expecting.

I think they might not have had a long enough cure time, but I did the best I could. October in Michigan - 85 degrees - 85% humidity. Not really an easy combo to make!
Here in woodland in October we had a high of 93F, a low of 37F with an average of 62F. Our humidity was more like 35%.

We have nice weather for Fall crops!

Seriously the best sourdough

From yesterday. Not the typical bake response to this thread but a bake nonetheless

Fresh caught sheepshead oil,, butter and Tony chacheres cajun seasoning marinated. Then stuffed and covered with potatoes and onions stirred around in oil, butter, salt, pepper, onion and garlic powder and more Tony chacheres seasoning

Sorry no after bake pics but I tell the truth when I say it was great eating

This is the sweet potato pie recipe I'm going to test out.

I'm going to add a little ground clove to the spice mix. Also, I'm thinking of switching out the regular milk for evaporated milk (that's what I use for pumpkin pie filling).
I want to make a sweet potato pie. Or, un-pie, which is pie without a crust.

This is from the index. The link here is to the very same recipe I found online an hour ago. I like the idea of adding a little ground clove, and using evaporated milk instead of whole milk.

@NFC, do you remember making this? How'd it turn out?
