Any Home Bakers Here?

I think they're cute too...I'd eat one!

I like the cutter shapes you chose @sunflour .

Where do you get meringue powder...do most grocery stores carry it?
Got mine at Joann's craft center. I know Michaels carries it too. Grocery may, never looked there. Mine is several years old, but for non-edible gingerbread houses that's ok. Wilton's site says it is good for 2 years after opened.

I have some ripe bananas on the counter. Other than banana bread, does anyone have any ideas?
How about Banana Pudding? If really ripe would be ok if eaten same day. Or banana muffins - don't have a recipe but have seen one somewhere.

Saw a recipe for banana cream cheesecake, but it uses firm bananas.

Saw a site using these larger cutters to cut shapes from center of dark and light breads, switch the cut outs and use on top of a sandwich…possibly more to my talents…lol. Maybe chicken salad or egg salad or both with wheat and white breads.

Make Banana cake--with cream cheese frosting!

Banana cake with cream cheese frosting AND walnuts too. Yum!

That's a cool idea...chicken shaped sandwiches with egg or chicken salad filling. I like the way you think!
