Maybe you need some additional judges? I think there may be a couple of people here who would volunteer to taste cookies ...

The recipe I posted is a regular peanut butter cookie recipe:

Aunt Abbies Peanut butter Cookies

1C. Butter 2t. Baking soda
1C. Brown Sugar ½t. Salt
1C. Granulated Sugar 3C flour
1C. Peanut Butter
2 Eggs

Cream together Butter, brown sugar, Granulated sugar & eggs. Sift together the dry ingredients. Add flour mixture to butter mixture, stir. Form dough into balls and smash with fork dipped in a bowl of sugar. Bake 20-25 minutes at 350°.
Making these as I type this with DD. I substituted 2/3c honey for the sugar and used organic cane brown sugar. Just added 2 extra tbs of flour as well. Smells pretty dreamy in here right now. PB cookies are my fav!

Post a picture of them--it would be good to see what they look like. The substitutions sound very tasty!

They're pretty wonderful. Not too squishy not dry. A great traditional pb cookie. I only cooked them for 13-15 minutes. Still getting a handle on this oven in our rent house. Not a fan at all but it works to make cookies and bread!!

Here's something a bit differrent from what we usually post on here. It's a savory item called Rumaki (Roo-mah-kee). The ingredients might sound a little odd but they combine very well.

Rumaki

1 lb. sliced bacon, cut into thirds
1/2 lb. chicken livers
1 8-oz. can sliced water chestnuts
1/4 Cup soy sauce
1 tsp. Chinese 5 Spice powder
pinch of garlic powder

Mix the soy sauce, 5 Spice powder and garlic powder in a bowl.
Cut livers into smallish-sized pieces, about the size of the tip of your thumb and add to the bowl.
Let livers marinate 30-45 minutes.
Heat the oven to 400 degrees and cover baking dish or tray with foil.
Holding a piece of bacon in your hand, place a sliced water chestnut on the end of it, then put a piece of liver on top of that. Roll the bacon around the water chestnut & liver and secure it with a toothpick. This can be kind of tricky until you get the hang of it, everything is kind of slippery! Continue making these bacon, chestnut, liver rolls until everything is used up, putting each secured roll on the lined baking tray.
Bake about 25 minutes. If you like your bacon crispy, turn the broiler on high for a few minutes to finish off.

We like making rice to go with this. It's easy, fast, and surprisingly good! This would also make a nice appetizer.
