I'm glad you reminded me of babka...I need to make another one!

I'm trying this recipe for the 1st time today: speckledhen's - Gump Bread - post #507

The bread is on it's 2nd rising now, keep your fingers crossed for me!

The Gump Bread was pretty tasty, your basic soft white bread. It will make really good toast for breakfast tomorrow.

One thing I would do different next time, the recipe didn't say what size pan to use so I used my larger bread pans and there really wasn't enough dough to get the height I wanted. Next time I'll use my 8.5" pans.

Chicken noodle soup is always yummy! It's one of my favorites, I make it a lot this time of year. Mmmm! Glad I found the muffins to complete my dinner!

Nice looking bread!

I found a jar for my sour dough starter - I think @ronott1 recommended the glass flip-top jar, so thanks it is a great idea and they had one on sale at work that was just the right size. Plus I got 10% employee discount, score!
Now I just need to order a sourdough starter from Carl. First I will see if the one in the freezer is still any good. I have had it in there for over 2 years !! Forgot all about it and just saw it the other day as I was digging for something else. It was one that a neighbor had started and shared with me back in Wyoming.
