Got my apple pie baked yesterday. DH was so funny about it, apparently he's managed to live into his mid-50's without ever having had a homemade apple pie. He's already mapping out the slice he's going to have for breakfast.

We're trying a sweet potato pie this year as well. Breaking all traditions and having chicken instead of turkey and an orange salad.

Somewhere I have a recipe for Matzo Ball Soup where the balls are made from goose fat and the stock and meat are goose. One day I'll get to try it.

If you find that recipe, may I see it? I may want to try it.

DH and I got to talking about sweet potato pie. Have you ever made one? I'm thinking of trying it out instead of pumpkin for Thanksgiving.

I've never tried sweet potato pie before, have always had pumpkin. I've heard that SPP is very good, though. I'm currently trying to get my T-day menu completed, but debating between traditional pumpkin pie or pumpkin cheesecake. It is a VERY hard decision, so I was considering making one of each. Like we really need double the calories - lol.
