I think it would be interesting to read, just to find out about cooking in the early part of the 1900s.

Could be interesting just figuring out what some of the ingredients are and what to substitute if they are no longer available. My copy of Joy of Cooking has instructions on how to skin and prepare squirrel. I'm guessing there will be similar things that would now be considered "um, no thanks" in a book written 120 years ago.

Have at it Jared! I'm sure you'll find some great eats in that book.

I’ve been vaccinated, and so is my entire family. In fact, I had Covid at the beginning of 2021.

Regardless, I will be careful.

Pin feathers can mean a duck is molting or it is a juvenile growing new feathers.

They come in a bag in grocery store chickens. I've not gotten them with the locally raised pastured chickens. Don't know if they do something else with them or assume no one wants them? I guess I could ask for some.

Turkeys in the grocery store come with giblets too. No worries.
