Any Home Bakers Here?

Nope, no guineas or quail or pheasant. My palate has led a sheltered life.
Guineas are considered a delicacy. Properly cared for pheasants are also excellent. Different varieties of quail have different flavors. Chukars are excellent.

My maternal grandfather would harvest squabs in his hayloft.

We had duckling once, in the early years of our marriage. It was incredibly fatty, think I lost half of it to drippings. Not impressed.
Muscovies are generally less fatty than other ducks and good eating. They taste surprisingly similar to beef.

I imagine that those crushed egg shells must have gave a sand like sensation when biting with your teeth. :idunno

Did you peel the eggs???:old

I imagine goose may be similar to turkey.
We had both Ham:drool:drool:drool,,, and Turkey:drool:drool:drool
I bought a ham and then found a boneless leg of lamb at Costco.

We had the Lamb on Christmas day and I will cook the Ham tomorrow.

The best quail I have has are the Valley Quail I hunted on our property when I was in High School. I would wait until I had at least 12 of them and would make stew.

I found hunting quail relaxing after a hectic day at school
