Any ideas for recovering energy after spell with bad heart?

5 pages from my friends here on BYC and only two phone calls from family.

Ya'll can't know how much it means to me. Thank you each and every one

I bet alot of people will be glad when I get back to work though, I've probably posted more the past two days than I have in the past two months.

Hope you get to feeling better soon.. Not that I am rushing you back to work. I enjoy your posts. But would rather you be feeling better. It is something isn't it? That online friends seem to worry and care more than our own family and friends. But then again, I am online talking to you all, more than I am on the phone talking to family..

So sorry to hear about your health problems. Please take it easy on yourself. Remember, tiredness is the body's way of making sure you rest and that is the best medicine for heart problems. One step at a time and never forget that your family would rather have you in any shape than not have you at all. My very best wishes for a speedy recovery.

Sounds very similar to what my step-dad has. If he gets worked up, over works himself, or over eats like at the holidays he would have a defib is what he called it. Where his heart goes wacko and it feels like he is having a heart attack. He would have to go to the ER to have his heart stopped and restarted. Just last Fall he went in for some kind of surgery and so far hasn't had any episodes. The nitro didn't work for him so his doctor gave him something else. I hope you feel better.

My father was having a lot of similar problems-he was having a lot of arrythmias and in general feeling bad. He finally got a pacemaker and it really changed his life. He is feeling like better overall, now getting around more and just looks better than he has in years. Your heart possibly not being in out of rythm can make you feel terrible. Without insurance you may want to start looking at some fee scale clinics or another type of medical assistance program etc....you eventually want some long term help/solution. Do you qualify for disability? As a nurse I say go to the ER or call the ambulance if you are having those type of chest pains. I hope you feel better soon and keep us posted.
