Anyone Collect Antiques? (Pics)

I went antiquing yesterday and saw some great things, esp. furniture. There was this beautiful secretary desk and a hand-painted chest but they were way out of my budget. Good thing the store has layaway if I ever decide to get furniture there. All I bought was a springform bundt cake pan that I used today to make an apple upside down cake..fabulous! And it was less than $4

lol...there are many strange items in the book. I'll have to scan and post some more tidbits. I'd like to scan the entire book so I have a digital record of it, then I think I will probably just have it mounted in a frame or something; maybe print off some of the "interesting" pages inside and shrink them down to also display in the frame.

I grew up with great-grandma, grandma, and mother that collected antiques. They started my collection growing up, but quite honestly was never in love with any of their big collections. The only things that I have kept and not passed to other family members are my drop rose plates and my purple slag. When I moved out at 17 I started my own collection of junk. I collect Hoosier type cabinets, old farm equipment, have a ton of old cider presses, wagon wheels, old tools, canisters, mason jars, bottles, old chairs, really anything that takes up a ton of room and is hard to move. Husband doesn't like to move it so it stays.
