I don't use their estimates for calories burned, I never could figure it out it kept saying I burned 3500 cal a day which is BS all I use is the cal/nutrition counter. What I decided to do was pick a calorie amount that I thought was less then what I burn, keep my calories at that level for a week or two (unless proven quicker) while weighing daily at the same time first thing in the am, after peeing, before eating or drinking anything. (I have a scale that measures lbs and ozs, ie 138.6 lbs) if I was trending ozs lost each day or two I figured that was the correct calories to lose, if I was trending upwards needed to cut back. (It really doesn't take two weeks to figure it out)
I wouldn't have 1/3 carbs while trying to lose weight, for maintence that might be okay, if your choice is between a healthy sweet carb (like apple) and a healthy startch carb (beans) I would veer towards the healthy sweet carb for energy, I limit my starchies to about 3 serving (1/2 cup) a week. Try getting a smaller bean (mung, adzuki, black etc) and sprouting them, you get the bean nutrition w/ much fewer carbs and easier for the body to digest.
Thanks. I think I am on the right track. I just need to get more active. My son wants to get me back up to three miles a day. Today I wore out at 3/4 mile, but kept walking because I needed to get back home.
I missed my banana! my calf muscels hurt without it. I think of them, and depend on them, for my potassium. I had an apple instead, but the carbs shot up anyway. The cabbage is considered a carb as well, even though I doubt most of it will digest. And I always thought of beans as protein. I guess I wasn't as knowledgeable about it all as I thought.
I do know to stay away from those cookies, though.
coo-kie.
