Anyone wanna go in on a CHICK ORDER with me?? Cenral INDIANA

Well i want to order some chicks from a hatchery "welp hatchery came to mind" or Meyer's hatchery located in Ohio but i only want to order about 4 to 8 chicks. Now meyer's has a limit of 3 chicks to order...but shipping is 40 bucks!!!! So, i didn't know if someone wanted to take advantage of welp's "no aditional shipping fee's" deal and place an order with me so we could avoid haveing to spend that extra cash just to have the chick's shipped.

Then again Meyer's is offering sexing on silkies and polish baby chicks "the ones i want" lol. I live in East central Indiana. Near Muncie/ Indianapolis/Richmond area.

Cackle will ship 15 at this time of the year.
They have excellent stock and super customer service.

Their shipping is very reasonable (I paid $15.00 for 27 chicks in Feb), all alive, healthy. most of them are exhibition quality).

I would LOVE to know how you received excellent customer service from Cackle? I ordered 15 Welsummer chicks this past April. They arrived late and appeared VERY stressed from the trip. I contacted Cackle right away via e-mail because their phone line is almost always busy. They told me to let them know how many chicks I ended up losing. I sent them updates and the finally number was 5, which is high for such a small amount of birds. I have never had that kind of loss with chicks. Cackle thanked me for my patience in dealing with this matter in late April, but since then....NOTHING. I have even left a message on their voice mail - which was a miracle because their phone is typically busy all the time.

SO, would you mind sharing your experience with them and any advice you might have for me?

Yeah, I don't think I will be using Cackle Hatchery again. I ordered 5 each of four different kinds of bantam Cochins, and 5 White Silkies, and 5 SLW's, but what I received were 6 SLW's, 6 each of 3 different kinds of Cochins, and 5 White Silkies. I never received the Birchen Cochins I had ordered. I tried over and over to call them, but it was always busy. I gave up. Everyone arrived alive, and I only lost one chick out of that order, but I was upset at not getting the birds I ordered. Now I have an order due to arrive around June 5th from Ideal. I thought their shipping was a bit outrageous, and I hope my chicks arrive alive. I had to order straight run again through this hatchery too, so I hope I am not overrun with roos AGAIN. If so, I will be thinning the flock again before Winter comes. I wish I had known earlier that you were wanting to place an order, I would have gone in on it with you. I wish you luck when you do place your order though.

here within the next few days or so. Or whenever my BYC partner in crime has the time/money to do so. Also i think welp has a good "extra chicken" policy too.

BUT!! I have been looking at Meyer's Hatchery Located in Ohio and they offer sexing with Polish chick's AND slikies!!! These are some of the breed's i was wanting to order.

So right now it's between Welp and Meyer's.

And from the look's of it....people are telling me Cackle is GARBAGE!!! lol so i will not be ordering from them.

I would love to go in on this, but I just know my husband would kill me.

I was supposed to have 6 chickens total. Now I have 6 laying hens, 1 rooster, 12 baby BR's, 7 broilers, 3 ducks and 1 turkey (his favorite). Shoot!!

Because I sure am falling in love with the idea of some polish hens!! Hope you find somebody!!
