Anyone want to lose some weight too? So I'm not starvin' by myself?

If anyone is experiencing soreness grab a few walnuts each day after working out. Lactic acid builds up in your muscles making them sore. The oil in walnuts displaces that buildup of acid. It reallllyyy works!! I spent the begining of last summer mulching flower beds 8 hours a day. Walnuts kept me from quitting that stinkin job!! LOL!!

Oh, and I have lost another pound thus far..YAYYYY!! Down to 171!! Goal is 150. 21 more to go!!

thanks for the tip I will definitely be trying the walnuts I have a problem with the lactic acid burn the first few minutes into a workout. I want to quit about 3 min in then it seems to go away but those first few minutes are excrutiating.
I did really well today lots of veggies and grains. I'm reading "The Kind Diet" by Alicia Silverstone It has some good vegan recipes in it that I'm going to try.

Thanks!
I know a lot is just water, but it sure is a confidence boost!

And great job to everyone on this thread!

Terrie, that's way too much to be just water.
Congrats!

I stayed focused today, and I bought some yummy fruit today. We have a new Sprouts store, and I love their produce.

Tomorrow I'm picking up some chickpeas at my regular grocery store. I season them and then bake until they are crunchy. They make a good snack that actually tastes like a snack food. I use Indian seasonings: amchar powder, garam masala, ginger and salt, maybe some soy sauce, then I bake them at 425 for a while and then let them cool in the oven. I think you could probably use any sort of seasoning and they would taste good.

Moms'folly, I LOVE chickpeas and so does DH (who is also trying to lose weight) and often make my own hummus if I have time otherwise I buy the low fat organic, but I am always looking for something to use them on rather than a salad or hummus! That's a great idea! How long do you bake them approx? I would LOVE to try that this weekend! Do you buy the can kind to use?

Thought I'd check in a lil early, starting weight was 199 last monday and today I'm 195

Also for all you wii lovers, I meant to tell ya'll earlier but make sure when your not using your wii's UNPLUG them. My cousins house burnt the day after Thanksgiving because of one catchin on fire. It was turned off but plugged up. The fire Department told them that wasn't the first one to burn a house down. So please be careful and unplug them.

Hang in there!

I am seriously needing sweets so I will be off to get some sugar free jello tomorrow to make with fruit.

I made peach jello and added home canned peaches. Oh so YUMMY, but higher in calories than a self respecting clear food should be.
