Anyone want to lose some weight too? So I'm not starvin' by myself?

Today was an epic fail. Had an emotional day and ate too much. Sitting here wallowing in self pity, listen to old sappy songs from the 80's and drinking beer. It's MGD 64 if that makes a difference.

Well I have been eating less and counting my points (WW) the last week and have shed 2 pounds. I gained 4 over the holidays

. A small but helpful loss to get me kick started again. I need to lose about 85 total so less the 40 I lost so far after adding that holiday gain leaves 45. Must... keep.... going...

My legs arent flabby...lol.

I noticed last night when I was laying in bed that my calves are tight. Not toned by any means, but tight. Before I would have to flex my toes to lift the calf muscle and now, they are tight. Woot! That is almost as good as seeing the scale lower...lol.

Heading to the gym this afternoon to make up for the dratted doritoes I scarfed down yesterday.

Have a great day everyone!!

It's sooo easy not to eat much in the morning and even lunchtime. What kills me is the evening. Arggh. I'm going to try eating a big breakfast, a medium lunch with protein, and then a big salad for supper that I can crunch on for a long time. I bought some nice lettuce and need some stuff to put on it.

Often I don't even eat supper until 7 or 8 or even 9 p.m. (go to bed around 11). I know that's bad but with my schedule it works out that way.

What do the rest of you do to manage snacking/eating in the evenings?

Snacking... evil!

I am opting for things like pretzels and hummus, popcorn, cheddar rice cakes...things that I can eat 'alot' of and are the lesser of the evils.
We tend to watch TV at night and DH snacks alot at bedtime. Of course he is one of those people who can eat 24/7 and never gain an ounce... rotten man!

So, its hard to sit next to him listening to the munching and not have something myself. I try, but my mouth says 'hey, where's mine?' so I give in. ugh!

I seldom crave sweets, for me its salty and crunchy. I just need to wire my jaw shut...lol.

Got on the scale and I'm down another 7 lbs. That's a total of 15.2 for me! I know next week or the week after though, the weigh loss is going to become the normal 1 to 2 lbs and thats good. Because I have soooo much to lose the first few weeks I always have monster weight losses.

I have alot more energy! I'm looking forward to getting up and exercising especially since I don't have to leave the house to do it. I just throw on a pair of shorts and tshirt and I'm ready!

I'm a night time snacker too. I'm keeping walnuts, almonds, and cashews within reach. Also some fresh fruit and veggies. I'm loading up on steamed veggies during the day, no butter on them, I love them just steamed. Mostly broccoli and cauliflower as they're my favorite.

Keeping high sugary or starchy veggies to a minimum such as carrots, corn and peas. Fruit that I like to snack on are blueberries....yum yum! Apples...delicious! Clementines...drool! But limited with those as well as I'm a diabetic.

I also have popcorn no added butter.

Sometimes at night I have to have protein before I go to bed because of my diabetes so I'll have a hard boiled egg which works out great as well.

Keep going ... you have to be kind to yourself ... would it help to figure out what went wrong?

I know what went wrong. I went to town (50 miles) and grabbed a Filet O Fish, small fries and a diet coke for the trip home. I looked it up in my Calorie King book and thought, ok, good choices....sort of....for a fast food place.....added the calories and promised myself a low cal/low fat dinner to make up for it.
When I was putting away groceries, I found a lone ice cream bar....then I just started nibbling. There you are.
