Anyone want to lose some weight too? So I'm not starvin' by myself?

MY issue this week is coming from working a lot and not being home. YEsterday we went out for lunch which I KNEW we were doing, but I figured I'd get a salad no biggie. Except when it came time to order none of the salads sounded good so I went with what I usually have at Mac Grill (Formaggio melts) and decided to only eat one. Well I came home and looked up nutrition info...OMG!!! I will NEVER eat them again! WAnted to throw them up after I read about them. ONE sandwhich is 1220 cal and 90 g of fat...in WW world they = 32 points! 10 MORE than my daily allowance! And to think I used to eat TWO of those! No wonder I am fat!!! So I got on the elliptical for my 45 min plus an extra 15 and did my abs which helped but not near 1220 cal worth! Then today I took a left over salad to work to eat not thinking about the fact that I already had the dressing on it like an idiot and it was all soggy and mushy. And since I was stuck in a corner today when they ordered out for lunch from a pizza shop that didn't have salads, I got an order of garlic knots and ate 5 of them. NOT good, I know, but I was getting a headache from being hungry and had no way to get anything healthier. So we're having chicken and FRESH salad LOL for dinner but I have a feeling those two things may have doomed me for the week unless I kick in some major activity points the next few days. Which I'm going to try to do, but I don't hold out hope!
ughhh stupid crazy lifestyle! I wish I had TIME to cook more! When you work 20+hrs a week, are a mom and wife, and go to school 38+ hours a week and EVERYTHING (school and work) are all an hour drive away you don't have much time for anything that even remotely resembles cooking meals! I'm lucky if I'm home 2 hours straight any single say of the week! ANd when I am, I need to study! LOL Sorry for the vent...

I hear you! Isn't it surprising how one small item -- often not even THAT satisfying -- can have sooooo many points. I ate some ice cream today and lost 16 points! Go away Ben and Jerry... It used up half of my extra points for the week. Sheeesh.

I also wanted to say -- stick with it! If you eat steamed veggies you can eat a LOT of them. Maybe you can add veggies and red kidney beans or chick peas or some such thing to your salads so you don't feel so hungry.

A hard boiled egg is only a couple of points too....its very hard sometimes when you are on the go.

I did a short walk today, and had leftovers for lunch and a dosa for dinner. I just wish my allergies weren't so bad, so I felt like spending more time outdoors.

I do eat a LOT of chick peas so I'm sure that will help. AS for your ice cream dilemma, I got the turkey hill light no sugar added vanilla bean and it's only 1 point for a half cup! I tend to indulge my craving with that and drizzle a touch of chocolate syrup on top for a yummy and satisfying 2 point dessert! I don't always have the two points for it and sometimes go to bed with a small clemetine or something but it's nice to know you don't have to completely give up your favorite thing :)

Also, by the way I got home DH had made dinner, and he made the WW recipe "Layered mexican chicken" OMG SOOOOOOO yummy! I suggest it! And a very filling dinner for just 6 points! With that, my full 5 pt breakfast (I HAVE to have a 5 point breakfast no earlier than 530 or my hypoglycemia acts up and I get too low by the time I get my lunch break at 2) and the ceasar salad and garlic knots for lunch, I'm only 2 points over for the day, so though it's not ideal it's not too terrible either!

Thanks for the ice-cream tip. I just snacked on hummus with lettuce leaves (instead of crackers) which was yummy. I've also got lots of celery sticks (in ice water) in my fridge ready to eat and that's been a great help when I want to grab somethine immediately (instead of cheese or cookies). Very satisfying and crunchy.

i was up to running 7 miles a day and it is awesome ive never felt better!!!!

WOW! Awesome stumble!!! I did a 5k in sept and I can barely do a mile already! I can't imagine doing 7!!! But yes I've been actually writing cardio time on my calendar so I'm more likely to do it!

ChickieAnnie, I LOVE hummus, I actually made my own a few weeks ago though I found mine isn't any less points than store bought so it's easier to buy organic hummus LOL. I like it with cucumbers, carrots, you name it. I actually dont like it with crackers so I guess thats good. Celery...yeah um I cant do that LOL. I dont know what it is, the texture or what, I haven't liked celery sinc eI was a kid. I try to eat it and do occasionally get it down but it's just not "snack material" in my book lol. Carrots I'll eat until I'm orange though!
