Now I think 3/4 brown girls are laying!

23 weeks old and 4/6 are laying daily. Two EEs, and I think my BR and GSL. Leaves the BO and SLW as freeloaders. Unless those two light brown eggs are from different birds with same shade of brown but wide size variation?

I think they are from different birds. I had a BO hen that always laid small beige eggs the shape of the one in the center of the basket, and 2nd from left in above pic.....

Buck buck buck ba-gawk!!!! Cowgirl (leghorn) just announced the arrival of her first egg in the Royal Suite at 3 pm Central Time today. Meanwhile, Moonshine, the Sebright, laid another tiny gem, setting a new record of 7 in 7 days for the April gang.
So far 2/6 today, 3/6 are officially laying. However, altho the 2 other leghorns are showing interest, the little d'uccle banty is just wandering around in circles seemingly oblivious to transpiring events.

I think mine are stressed out from the heat (100' again) and smoke & ashes from wildfires here in OR. It's feeling almost like an apocalypse.
We're back to 0/3 but they get a pass until the world normalizes again :fl

Where do you live? My kids live in Portland area, and we're planning to move there, so we are closely following the reports of Eagle Creek fire. But it hasn't been on the national news until last night!
