ugh. Why is it my favorite chicken is the one pooping in the nesting box? UGH. Even made her a milk crate full of shavings for her to go lay in instead. She is 2 years old now, so this will not last long before she is headed for doom. Come on Kentucky, get with the program.

Well, Tucks one of the faverolles got in the box sat awhile and exited with an egg song.I ran outside only to discover Tucks is a big fat liar.

Only one non layer, the Amerecauna I cant wait to see my blue eggs from her!

3/6 today, 2 white eggs from the leghorns, and another tiny cream colored gem from Moonshine the Sebright who has now laid 8 days straight. I just went out to partially close up, and Moonshine is again on the nest....this can't be possible or good for her. Maybe she's going broody....She's breaking all the rules!

I went out after dark and the Sebright was still on the nest. I picked her up and put her on a roost. It's going to be in the 40's tonite, the cool air will hopefully break the broodiness...if that's what's happening.
