Nothing yet lol. I may do a safety hole in them in the morning if nothingDid yours hatch?
My first one didfirst time I've had one externally pip and bust right out
I incubate and hatch shipped eggs in cartons. Works great. I feel it helped improve my hatch rate especially egg with wonky air cells. The pic is some Silkie/Showgirls I hatched last month. Some people like poking holes in the cartons but I've never found that necessary.Hi folks,
I'm on day 14 and just candled. I started with 48 in the Bator. I tossed one on day 10 ( blood ring). Tonight I am tossing 5 more. Two infertile, two early or very early quitters (just black blob that only takes up 1/3 of egg, no views) is that an early quitter? LOL and 1 more blood ring, all sloshy inside. There are a couple of other I left in the incubator, that I think I should pull- but Im not sure. They are showing a pattern unlike any of the rest (they are both Maran eggs) I can see 3 distinctive blotches in one, like a black and white cow pattern. Darkness comes down about 60% of the way, dont see veins. The other doesnt seem to have a glowing air cell- it is consistently light, but there is a mass inside that takes up at least half the egg- but I dont see viens.. or a glowing air cell.
So on day 14 I'm at 42 of. 48 and Im hoping Ill have 40 still by lockdown.
Which of you guys have hatched out( for lockdown) in egg cartons? How has this worked? Do you have any photos? Pros? Cons?
Thanks
