April 2020 Hatch-A-Long! All are welcome!

The external pipper is out and drying off. I checking this morning (passed out watch “Bones”, good distraction). And the little girl/guy played soccer, probably trying to get out of the egg. Will this do anything to the others???
No, the other eggs will be fine. Sometimes I think it stimulates them to try harder. 😂

Do you know when it pipped? Many wrong Enders end up just fine but remember it can take twice as long to hatch because that pip is both an internal and external pip.
It's been working on it for a day. They're hatching in a carton due to horrible air cells (some reaching the pointy end and possibly the reason for the little guy's confusion) that didnt recover after shipping.

ETA: I found it had pipped because it was making a distress peep as it was behind the carton. I placed it on its side, not in the carton.

I have a wrong end pipper. Yesterday morning was day 21. Any tips?
I would open up the shell very slowly where it pipped to see if it is still alive. If it is see if the veins have receded yet and if they have you should be safe to assist it. If the veins have not receded make sure that it's beak is outside of the membrane so that it can get air and make those veins recede. You can also put some triple antibiotic ointment on the membrane just not near its beak so that it doesn't gunk up its beak, it will keep the membrane nice and moist until the chick is ready to come out.

I cleared some shell from around its beak and used coconut oil. Didn't think about triple antibiotic ointment.

No bleeding, but still some receding veins visible so I stopped there. I wondered if at this point they are likely to hatch on their own or will need help. Should I check back on it in a bit and assist at some point? Or let it take it from here?

I would just leave it and see if it's going to hatch by itself. If it does not hatch by tonight then I would assist just as long as the veins have receded.

Ok, I'll do that. Thanks!

Unfortunately these were shipped on their sides. I don't want to leave the breeder bad feedback, but some of the shipping setups I've gotten recently have been awful.
