APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

I swore off any incubating for the year as I have too much going on, but 2 of my Kraienkoppe sisters have other plans. They both have insisted on being broody for weeks already. So I finally let them keep 2 eggs after they stole them from another nest, LOL! The two of them are sitting in one nest on 2 eggs. Very sweet actually :D Of all my hens, Ripley my one eyed Kraienkoppe is probably the one I'd most like to see be a Momma because she is totally imprinted on me and thinks I am her chicken mommy. I know she will let me see her baby(s). Her sister Cleopatra used to be super sweet too but turned wilder once puberty hit. But now that she is broody and with Ripley she puts up with my attention, LOL! I go in once a day and encourage them both to grab a bite and drink otherwise they never leave the nest - even when there were no eggs in it. I tried putting them in a special broody box but they flipped out and left the eggs and went back to the empty nest :/ So I conceded and let them have it their way for the next few weeks. Ripley rules the coop anyway so no one will mess with them. Here is Ripley sitting on her little sister Cleo. I couldn't get her to pose with her good side to me, LOL!
