APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

Okay, so I have a first! I must have done something right because I have 16 eggs I set on April 2 and I have 8 pipped! Two had pipped when I checked on them around 630 pm, it's now 202 am. None have hatched yet. I'm used to on hatching and while that's going on, finally getting another pup.

Maybe it was because this time my incubator was FULL, perhaps that kept it more evenly heated or something?
Also, they were moved to a lower temperature in the hatcher and for about the last week of incubation. (Not on purpose, but because I had to move them to another incubator and I have better control over its temperature.)

Aaaanyway, these are SLW (which aren't looking like they want to hatch any time soon), BRs, and BAs in there. I am VERY excited about this.

That's funny...I feel the same way. That chick is something special.

Kass, is that the first one you've had like that?
Yes, and unexpected, I thought all my female carriers were killed in the big massacre we had (preditor attack instigated by a human)

Yay! Sounds awesome! :D I have heard that a full incubator will operate better than one that isn't.

Final update on this hatch... 25 eggs set/ 10 clear/ 6 hatched (1 was too weak and died)/ of the remaining eggs 2 were peeping/chirping but never pipped died in shell and 7 were quitters (a few early a few mid incubation).
Great pics! :) My first hatches this year were lousy! I blame colder than usual weather. Sometimes birds just need more time to get in the mood this season. ;)

I've got another batch due on the 26th and 27th. My nieces are coming out then and they will be able to see the hatching. I'm so excited!

I need help. My 24hr old chick has not absorbed the yolk sac. And has something white hanging out vent. What do I do? I posted it on the forum and got no response. It is drinking but not eating that I've noticed.

I bought a chick that was the same way. But it was eating and drinking. I kept an eye on it and it dried up and fell off. She is 1 month old now and is smaller than the other chicks but still alive and kicking.
