White on the butt look like it may be poo..sticky butt . cant tell from the picture much.If its directly on the vent you might using a warm wet tissue and gently see if it will wipe off. Might take a few gentle wipes.If it is poo dryed on the vent and youleave it like a day it will clog up her vent so she cant go and she will die.If its something else then let it alone .By the way if you are a newbie at chicks keep an eye on your chicks for sticky butt the first week.Check each once a day . ..They sometimes get that and itclears by second week usuallyGOOD LUCK!

What are the requirements for keeping a bird like that?.Can they be in sun? Im sure inside in winter.. Are they sterile? Normal in every other way? .Very dinasaur looking!!

My at least 4 week old when set Lav Orp eggs are in lockdown.Due Sat
.Lets see what i come up with I had 3 non start or quiters . but the rest look good. ...so far.
HOpe my Buff laced brahma eggs come soon. Was hoping today or tomorrow..Havent heard

His skin looks dry... can you oil him or something? Or am I just being crazy?

My hen hatched out 7/9 eggs. 6 are black frizzle/silkie mixes some with white tips on wings and feet and chests. Only one appears to be pure silkie and is lavender.

I had a rotten egg in the incubator, I managed to catch it before it burst but jeez, I can still smell it. It must have burnt into my nostrils or something.

I'm down to 8 eggs and they all seem to be at different stages. One looks like its due on time and the rest haven't filled the shells like the other one, I'll give them all to day 26/27 before I perform eggtopsies.
