APRIL Hatch a long ......Anyone?

No Rudy is not a product of GM, or of nn gone wrong. He has a completely natural made recessive gene that was found in New Hampshire chickens bank in the 1950's. He has a double hit of the ALL NATURAL gene.

Okay, so I have a first! I must have done something right because I have 16 eggs I set on April 2 and I have 8 pipped! Two had pipped when I checked on them around 630 pm, it's now 202 am. None have hatched yet. I'm used to on hatching and while that's going on, finally getting another pup.

Maybe it was because this time my incubator was FULL, perhaps that kept it more evenly heated or something?
Also, they were moved to a lower temperature in the hatcher and for about the last week of incubation. (Not on purpose, but because I had to move them to another incubator and I have better control over its temperature.)

Aaaanyway, these are SLW (which aren't looking like they want to hatch any time soon), BRs, and BAs in there. I am VERY excited about this.

Final update on this hatch... 25 eggs set/ 10 clear/ 6 hatched (1 was too weak and died)/ of the remaining eggs 2 were peeping/chirping but never pipped died in shell and 7 were quitters (a few early a few mid incubation).

Grrrrrrr!!! It has warmed up tremendously in the last few days here! Been messing with my hatcher ALL day yesterday and it is STILL too hot! Its lockdown day, but nowhere to put them yet. Sure hope they aren't early birds!!
