Hi I was wondering if anyone would be able to give me some advice on my Silkie bantam eggs. My first time attempting incubating. Candled the eggs on day 10 and just wondering if people could advise me whether or not they look viable?
Had some problems maintaining temperature to start with but back track now.

I think they look great! Most of them seem to be thriving!
I don't really see anything in 3 or 9, but leaving them in until day 14 and checking them again shouldn't hurt so long as there isn't an odor already.

Yes, I ditto above. They look great overall! Keep going! In a few more/several days you can probably see the little ones moving inside the eggs and you will know for sure.

Ok great thanks😊 I’ll check again in 4 days. Had some trouble maintaining correct temperatures for first few days so was worried they wouldn’t develop properly.

X2! I see definite live chicks in pictures : 2, 5, 6, 7, and 11. 9 looks like a quitter.
Thanks for you help. I’ll check again in a few days and hopefully be able to tell if any have stopped developing

Great! They are so cute!!!! Did you raise the humidity for lockdown? Did you keep them upright or lay them on the side? You kind of inspired me too. I got a dozen fertilized eggs from my neighbor (who has 8 roosters) and put them in my incubator last Sunday......

Yes I raised the humidity to around 65%. Of the 7 eggs that went into lockdown I placed 3 on their sides and 4 upright. The ones I placed upright were the ones that had the most misshapen air cells because I’d read that being upright may help them. All 7 hatched perfectly fine though so I can’t say either way whether being upright or laying down was beneficial or not, certainly didn’t so them any harm😁 Best of luck with your hatch! Let me know how you get on
