Are my Indian Runners actually Runners?

I was about to chime in about how different Runners look even as very young ducklings, and then I saw your pics of them as babies! What the...??? Here's my Runner who, at the time of the pic, was just 2 weeks old vs. one of her non-Runner sisters. You can see she's a bowling pin already.

They are so lovely! I think ours looked somewhere in between the two of these when we got them. Their legs weren't far enough back and they were too chunky to be pure runners but they were definitely taller and leaner I think than your non-runner duckling. Not sure if I'll ever know, it's a mystery haha!

I just got my Indian runners Saturday and I bought them as adults. They look like wine bottles with webbed feet. Love em to death though...

I vote dad was a runner, but mom was not. I bet Indian Runner drakes especially run fast during mating season!

They definitely do have Runner in them, but not full Indian Runner. Beautiful boys you got!!
