Are your geese done laying for the year?

It has been a few days since I last checked Beignet's nest (which had 2 eggs), so I took a peek today.  I was surprised to find 4 eggs there.  Guess she's not done laying yet.

Beatrice's nest has FIVE eggs in it today. I saw her go in there a few times and just stand over the eggs so I'm hoping this is her broody instinct kicking into gear!

Well I am pretty sure Missy is full time broody now, very much relieved, although I didn't think I'd hatch her eggs since they will be mixed but to get her to stop laying it will be worth it. Plus I think this will be a nice mix. Not sure if any of the eggs are fertile even though they mated all the time even 2X day often. I will candle this coming Friday it will be about a week into her brooding. I should be able to see some veining by then?

I had a feeling Missy would be a good broody.

Poor Sammy. I felt bad for a few of my ganders when their mates went broody, but they wait patiently for their mates to return and otherwise deal with it.
