we're only at 105 at my place on the east side. I"ll take it.I have a thermometer on our shaded patio that says 114 right now. (My phone says 108 for 1pm but I'm guessing that is a general temp for my city, not my precise location.)

I know that we have to have these higher temp's to bring on the monsoon rain. Then you can go back to taking all of your picture's of it.I have the misters on in the lemon tree, the hose running in the water trough, and a huge mud puddle where it's spilling over for everyone to cool off in. Our pigs are brown and the tortoises all have little mud sculptures on their backs.Girls are wandering and keeping in under the bougainvillea shade. As is their routine on hot days.
Fingers crossed.I know that we have to have these higher temp's to bring on the monsoon rain. Then you can go back to taking all of your picture's of it.
I'm glad that you liked it!BlueBaby

Tasted good with dinner today.![]()
Yes, the hot temp's are here to stay for awhile. I just bought a couple of new 6 gallon pans for the water for mine. The bigger pan's can accommodate more chicken's hanging around it to drink. I'm not hatching right now, so I don't have to worry about any littles not being able to reach them, and any high wind's from the monsoon whenever it start's won't be able to blow them over. I have the mister's on the timer from 10 am until 6 pm. Ice is being kept in the freezer for them to add to the water. They got the wet feed yesterday, and that helped to get more of the water into them along with making sure that they ate. They sure do love that wet feed.It was even 100 up here north of Prescott. Same forecast for at least a week or more. I started putting at least 2 water sources in all my pens in case one is too hot or gets knocked over. I'm thinking of ways to put shade cloth over the waterers too. I hung up some sheets to soak with water for evap cooling/shade for plants... etc.
Chicken's eat more then just grains, and that lizard made the mistake of being in the wrong place at the wrong time. It won't be doing that again for sure.Apparently the heat hasn't slowed down my girl from catching a lizard -- and then being chased by all the others! (This was in their run)
