Ummmm let us know about the eggtopsy. I hope your other 4 all have little chicks inside!!!! What day are you at? With mine I had to switch from the full size mag light to the mini mag light at 10 days because the big flashlight didn't concentrate the beam enough. Also, some eggs I was able to see movement better by looking through the air cell (you can see the veins next to the air cell, and see movement along the edge). I've had some I didn't see move and was worried and rechecked the next day and saw them move.

for babies in the other eggs!

Nursehelly, were still hatching in 24 hours right? Some of my eggs are rocking already..!! Can't wait!!

Mine are "due" on the 9th, but the person I got them from said the Seramas usually hatch early ... can't wait too!!!! So any day now!!!
I keep going in to look at them through the window ... thank goodness it has one, I don't know what I would do without it!

I enjoy them more outside too

Chickens that is for me, since I don't have any turkeys ... how loud are they? If the neighbors wouldn't notice I might try one ... however would have to do extreme wing clip. I think it would give it away if it decided to roost on my roof, like my friend's heritage turkey does!

Is anyone in the East Valley hatching Olive Eggers and one of the following: Silver Laced Wyandottes, Speckled Sussex or Plymouth Rocks this week?

Thanks!

I donated plasma (sold it, really) twice a week for over a year until the Sierra Vista clinic closed. Once I was hooked up and the machine was running, the staff pretty much left me alone, so I could watch a movie, read, take a nap etc., just not anything involving the right arm which was on "lockdown". No risk to the donor, as they use single-use sterile needles (like giving a blood sample during an exam, but the needle is way bigger).

The biggest drawback for me is they want you on a restricted diet that day, as the plasma separation takes the fat out of your bloodstream as well as the plasma. I pushed it one time and ate fried food, and the plasma looked like detergent water and I got a talking-to. And you're dehydrated and sometimes feeling a little "off" afterward.

But all in all, not a bad gig if you have the time.

Bryan

Edited to add: And I don't think it takes three hours, I think it was around 90 minutes for the process, but sometimes all the chairs were full and I had to wait for a vacancy.
